After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in economics and speech communication from the University of Illinois and a Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Mr. Rosenblum was admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois, as well as before federal courts. He began his career as an associate attorney at Johnson & Bell Ltd. from 1987 until 1992, and then moved his practice to Goldberg, Weisman & Cairo Ltd. between 1992 and 2000. In 2000 Mr. Rosenblum was a co-founder of Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum Ltd., where he practiced for nearly 19 years.
In 2019 Mr. Rosenblum became a partner at MDR Law LLC. In this capacity, he focuses on medical malpractice, product liability, professional negligence, wrongful death and catastrophic injury. As a respected voice in his field, Mr. Rosenblum has been invited to speak on various ethical issues at several seminars for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He has also written amicus briefs in the Illinois Supreme Court for the Amicus Curiae Committee of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Rosenblum has won many favorable settlements for his clients. He has worked on many different cases, ensuring that each client receives the justice they seek. Some examples include: a $12 million settlement for a child born with cerebral palsy due to birth injury; an $11 million settlement for a woman who suffered from an undiagnosed stroke and a $6 million verdict for a six-year-old with significant brain injury resulting from an undiagnosed infection. Mr. Rosenblum also obtained a $4.5 million settlement for a woman over a loss of limbs due to untreated infection, a $5 million settlement for a woman with kidney failure due to untreated lupus, a $3.5 million verdict for the family of an amateur pilot killed in an airplane crash and a $1.2 million verdict for a woman with cervical fusion due to a construction defect.
For his accomplishments in law, Mr. Rosenblum has been listed with Super Lawyers in Personal Injury for the past nine years and Leading Lawyers since 2013. He has received the William J. Harte Amicus Volunteer Award from the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association for multiple years, including most recently in 2021. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Rosenblum volunteers with the National Association of the Deaf, the Midwest Center for Law and the Deaf, and the Chicago Hearing Society and is committed to assisting people with disabilities obtain justice.
