Having distinguished himself as the president of The Cortana Corporation since 1983, Mr. Wollenberg is a successful commercial real estate professional who has served in the industry for decades. Originally a front office manager for Caneel Bay Plantation between 1969 and 1971, he later began a career with Amfac Inc., after obtaining his business degree in 1973. After spending several years in the Virgin Islands, Mr. Wollenberg and his family moved back to California, where he became the executive vice president of his current company in 1977. Besides his full-time commitments, he notably spent many years committed to the Longview Fibre Company in Washington as its director from 1979 to 2007.
After graduating from college, Mr. Wollenberg desired independence in his career. Finding his own success in real estate was predicated on hard work, dedication, and a deep passion for the field. Mr. Wollenberg's exemplary performance in the field was fueled by the creativity he invested into every project, as well as the role he played in changing his customer's lives for the better.
To better serve his community, Mr. Wollenberg has been active on the board of directors for Christmas in April Mid-Peninsula. He also served as the president, two-time treasurer and secretary between the years of 1992 and 1998. He is also a former board director for the Peninsula Center for the Blind in Palo Alto, and is active with the Filoli Governing Board, where he has served as the president since 2020. Other community engagements to Mr. Wollenberg's credit have included membership with the Stanford Live Art Council, the Menlo Circus Club and the Outrigger Canoe Club (Honolulu).
Mr. Wollenberg was born in Longview, Washington. He pursued a formal education at Brown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1969. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Wollenberg attained a Master of Business Administration at Stanford University in 1973.
