Her transition into community advocacy began as a member of the Hispanic Coalition of Macomb, Michigan, and she would eventually serve as president of the organization before founding the Macomb Immigrant Service Center. Ms. Diaz-Torres is proud to continue her work with the Macomb Immigrant Service Center on a volunteer basis, allowing the nonprofit to better execute its mission.
Ms. Diaz-Torres holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University, and has received accreditation from the United States Department of Justice, certifying her commitment to ongoing legal education. She emphasizes that she is simply doing what she can to help her community, and considers herself "a normal person, making the world better one step at a time."
