MIAMI SHORES, FL, July 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel W. Brandt has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After receiving a Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce School of Law at the University of New Hampshire, Mr. Brandt became an attorney for Legal Aid Services and served in private practice beginning in 1980. In 1988 Mr. Brandt joined his father's twenty-five year old retail billiard business and remains in the billiard business today. Upon taking over the business, he shifted operations from mainly retail services to manufacturing. He now owns and manages Billiards by Brandt, LLC and its manufacturing component Brandt Billiard Manufacturing, LLC. As a business owner, Mr. Brandt makes custom one of a kind products including furniture and billiard tables. He personally interviews each client to learn about their tastes and background to create sketches and architectural renderings that are then hand crafted into functional pieces of art.
As an accomplished professional, Mr. Brandt was a multiple-time Paul Harris Fellow through Rotary International. He received a recognition award from the Miami Shores (Florida) Village Council for his continuous support of and donations to the Miami Shores Recreation Department. He provided the Miami Shores Field House with new billiard tables, video games and accessories. Civically, Mr. Brandt has worked as a lobbyist in the Oregon Legislature, a State Director of the Oregon State Public Interest Group and a guest lecturer on environmental policy and politics at Georgetown University. He is also a billiard academy instructor for the North Miami Police Athletic League. Mr. Brandt is now retired from the practice of law but continues his community service working as a compliance consultant on disability issues relating to the ADA (Americans with Disability Act) and provisions of Section 504 of The Rehabilitation Act. In addition, Mr. Brandt serves on the Board of Directors of the Marian Center, a school and training facility for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Throughout his career, Mr. Brandt has attributed his professional success to his unique talent of listening, taking inspiration from people, nature and geometry, and applying those concepts as a message of beauty to others. Ultimately, Mr. Brandt hopes to use his talent to show people the beauty of the world around them.
