MIDLAND, TX, July 14, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy Ivy has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. During the 1980s, Mrs. Ivy's parents, Mariano Sr. and Mary Rendon, established the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry, which she now runs alongside her husband, Pastor Jason Ivy, and their sons, Jay Anthony and Nathen. For nearly three and a half decades, her family has prepared Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for thousands of people, providing 650 meals for Thanksgiving and 800 for Christmas in 2019 alone. The same year, they provided close to 800 gifts for Christmas. Due to Midland Soup's standing in the community, Mrs. Ivy frequently coordinates in excess of 100 volunteers at major events.
Driven to help people physically, spiritually and through ministry, Mrs. Ivy begins preparing between 100 to 110 homemade meals each morning to be served. Additionally, she coordinates pick-ups from different stores in the Midland area, fulfills numerous secretarial and treasurer duties, distributes Bibles to anyone who asks and offers other necessary items to those in need, including clothing, shoes, blankets, toys and more. In addition, The Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry opened their doors on a Saturday morning and hosted a free backpack giveaway. The line wrapped around their building as 300 children came for free school supplies; this event is held annually. When asked, Mrs. Ivy and her family also speak at local churches.

Bush, was featured in Midland Magazine in 2020, and was additionally honored with a Reader's Choice Best Nonprofit Organization Award in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Her parents were also honored by the Mayor of Midland with their own day, August 18th, for helping to feed those in the community. Having been involved in the ministry since childhood, she intends to continue to bring more people to her Christian faith.
