ENGLEWOOD, FL, July 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Sue Gregory, BBA, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
For more than 20 years, Ms. Gregory has flourished as the founder of the Cades Cove Preservation Association Inc. (CCPA). Alongside a small but passionate group of like-minded individuals, she formed the CCPA in 2001 to preserve the heritage of the former residents of Cades Cove, which is currently located within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Ms. Gregory was a past president and treasurer of the Cades Cove Preservation Association Inc, which is a 501-3C Limited Liability Corporation.
Prior to the establishment of the aforementioned national park in 1932, Ms. Gregory had multiple generations of relatives that lived in Cades Cove. Due to her family's deep connection with this rural area of Tennessee, she felt that it was her responsibility to ensure that the former community never be forgotten. She soon discovered that many other descendants of Cade Cove residents were equally concerned about their families' legacies. With the support of local media, Ms. Gregory and her dedicated team created the CCPA as well as the Cades Cove Preservation Association Museum, which is located in the historic Thompson-Brown House of Marysville, Tennessee.
Before her success with the CCPA, Ms. Gregory thrived as an electrical drafter for years before becoming an Engineering Department Assistant. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Maryville College in 1997. Ms. Gregory became certified as a Computer Aided Designer, Quality Analyst, and a certified ISO 9001 auditor and instructor. She studied museum management and gave a program of museum generation for National Museum Association. Since Ms. Gregory was over the age of 35 when she helped create the CCPA and graduated from college, she encourages others to never believe they are too old to pursue their passions.
