After receiving a bachelor's degree in economics from Quinnipiac University in 2005, Mr. Goldstein began working as a Wall Street trader. Alongside his professional route, Jonathan always had a passion for planning parties and cooking. During high school and college in addition to working various jobs as a party planner and various positions in restaurants, whenever friends were planning an event Jonathan would be the first person called to put it together. To wit, he also always had a dream to own a restaurant.
When he met the previous owner of his current business, B&M Market, Mr. Goldstein saw an opportunity to pursue his dream. B&M was a butcher shop when it was established 55 years ago. Over the years it evolved to providing a percentage of prepared dishes in addition to the finest cuts of meats. After taking the helm, Mr. Goldstein turned it into a gourmet market providing customers with a truly "Fine Dining at Home" experience whether for that evening's dinner or a special occasion shared with family and friends. Today, B&M is a butcher shop, a gourmet market, and a top of the line full service caterer serving the best quality meats, fish, poultry, and organic vegetables available. Mr. Goldstein and his team plan to move to a new location, where they will have outdoor seating, a full lunch menu and offer VIP dinner parties after hours.
As an accomplished professional, Mr. Goldstein has received much recognition for his success. For four consecutive years, B&M Market won the Best Butcher Award, Best Gourmet Take Out, and Best Caterer. They were also recognized as Best Meat and Best Burger in Bergen County, New Jersey. Throughout his career, Mr. Goldstein has been most proud to receive positive feedback from his customers. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, they offered 80% off their Christmas dinners for delivery so that customers could feel safe while still celebrating the holidays. Additionally, Mr. Goldstein has often donated food to local hospitals.
Civically, Mr. Goldstein serves on the board of CarePlus. Over the years, he has attributed his professional success to hard work, a loyal customer base and his passion for what he does. In the coming years, he plans to continue growing his business and offering excellent service.
