With years of experience in public finance law and real estate law, Mr. Brodbeck has dedicated his career to providing exceptional legal services to each of his clients. For nearly 35 years, he has found success as a shareholder and member of the board of directors of Dentons, Cohen & Grigsby PC. Inspired to pursue a career in law by his childhood Sunday school teacher, who worked as a lawyer, he initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University in 1971 from where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, before earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Northwestern University in 1974. Mr. Brodbeck was subsequently admitted to practice law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He began his career as an associate at Berkman, Ruslander, Pohl, Lieber & Engel and advanced to become partner.
Mr. Brodbeck joined Cohen & Grigsby in 1987 and served as its President from 1994 until 2000 before continuing his career with the firm in his current position. He is proud to have served as a board member of the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, the chairman of the board of the Phipps Conservatory and the president of Outreach South Hills Inc. Presently, Mr. Brodbeck serves as the vice chairman of the Eye & Ear Foundation.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Brodbeck has maintained his affiliations with the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Pennsylvania Association Bond Lawyers and the Princeton Alumni Association. For his achievements, he is honored to have been recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the Best Lawyers in Public Finance Law and Real Estate Law. Additionally, Mr. Brodbeck is a recipient of the This Town Would Be Different Without Award from Mt. Lebanon Magazine.
