WAXAHACHIE, TX, July 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael J. Butz, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Butz initially prospered from 2000 to 2012 as a safety and environmental compliance coordinator at American Eagle Airlines, which is a regional branch of American Airlines. During this time, he earned a 30-hour OSHA certification in 2009. He also served as an environmental, health, safety and sustainability manager from 2012 to 2014 at Magnablend, a chemical plant in Waxahachie, and as a regional regulatory manager from 2014 to 2016 at Univar, a global chemical and ingredients distributor, at its Dallas location. He found further success as an environmental health and safety engineer from 2018 to 2020 at Triumph Group, an aircraft manufacturer and repair firm. He was the recipient of a Leadership Award from American Eagle Airlines in 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental science from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, the same year.
Mr. Butz was inspired to enter the legal field when he observed that the blue-collar workers at the manufacturing facilities where he worked could not afford proper legal representation, as they made too little money to afford "Big Firm" legal fees, but too much for limits set for income by Legal Aid. Additionally, he noted that there were more available opportunities in law than in engineering in Texas. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Butz earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of North Texas' Dallas College of Law in 2018 and, in 2020, founded the Butz Law Firm, PLLC, in Waxahachie, where he offers his service as a certified mediator in civil and family law matters in addition to legal service as an attorney. He cites his areas of practice are in family law, estate planning, wills and trusts, criminal misdemeanor cases, and safety and environmental allegation defense. He became a certified family mediator and certified civil mediator through ADR Services, Inc., in 2019.
Attributing his success to his deep faith, Mr. Butz makes a comparison between serving God, serving his co-workers by ensuring their safety on the job, and serving his community by helping people with their legal needs. In addition to four children of their own, he and his wife, April, have fostered 12 children.
