THE WOODLANDS, TX, July 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dane Rebkowec has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Rebkowec obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Criminology and Biological Sciences from the University of Windsor in 2015. Following this accomplishment, he continued his education with a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2018, from which he earned a Dean's Scholarship and attained a place on the Academic Dean's List. Presently, Mr. Rebkowec is a Master of Laws candidate in taxation at New York University School of Law.
From 2017 to 2018, Mr. Rebkowec made an impact as a tax law research assistant at the University of Houston Law Center. As part of his duties, he conducted research and substantiated estate planning treatises. Additionally, as a Quality Control Associate Attorney from 2018 to 2020 at Alliantgroup LP, a national tax consulting services firm based in Houston, Mr. Rebkowec began his legal career by identifying, analyzing and quantifying Research and Development tax credit benefits, reviewing and analyzing contracts, developing new areas of opportunity and mentoring new Quality Control Associates.
Since 2020, Mr. Rebkowec has flourished as a Tax Controversy Attorney at The Wilson Firm PLLC in The Woodlands, Texas. There, he works closely with managing attorney, Lee Wilson, on tax controversy related matters at all stages, drafts United States Tax Court petitions, penalty abatement narratives, reasonable cause defenses and voluntary disclosures, and confers and corresponds with IRS Office of Chief Counsel to help resolve disputed tax issues.
Mr. Rebkowec was inspired to enter the legal field when he coached a youth basketball team, which prompted a desire to help underprivileged individuals. He discovered he enjoyed working with tax issues during his years as a research assistant. In a career suffused with highlights, he is most proud to currently pursue his studies as a Master of Laws at New York University, and lists Lee Wilson at The Wilson Firm as a mentor.
