Ms. Bengtsson established Dine4Dinners in 2020 in an effort to combat hunger.
LINDSTROM, MN, July 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carline A. Bengtsson has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. As a child, Ms. Bengtsson immigrated to Minnesota from Jamaica. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and art from Concordia University and began working as a senior production control analyst at Honeywell. She also served as a senior demand-planning analyst for Medtronic, during which time she received a Mini Master from the University of St. Thomas as well as completed MBA course work in international marketing, followed up with a Marketing Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Executive Education Program. She also earned a Lean Sigma Green Belt Certification. Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Bengtsson remained active with Medtronic for more than 20 years in various positions, including living and working in Switzerland which led to a supply chain product launch manager role, a senior medical device reporting specialist, and a vigilance and compliance regulatory inquiries manager. The last position she held with the company was as a program manager of service quality, after which she embarked on her own professional journey.
Upon leaving Medtronic, Ms. Bengtsson had earned numerous points for employee recognition, which she was able to redeem for gift cards or donate to an organization or cause. She decided to donate a remainder of her points to a food organization, and was later told that her donation would feed a child for 19 weeks. Thus inspired, Ms. Bengtsson has dedicated the rest of her career to contributing to the feeding of others.
Ms. Bengtsson established Dine4Dinners in 2020 in an effort to combat hunger. The flagship in-home restaurant style dining experience provides meals for those in need of daily nourishment via food organizations with dependable, reliable, and sustainable sources. Presently, she is grateful to be completely booked through the end of the year, and to be taking reservations for 2022. To date, Ms. Bengtsson has donated more than 57,000 meals through the dining experiences.
In addition to her primary work at Dine4Dinners, Ms. Bengtsson authored "Carline's Fork & Cork Simply Delish!", a cookbook that features inventive recipes that bring together culturally rich ingredients from Jamaica, Scandinavia and Asia. For her various efforts, she has also been featured in an article in the Minneapolis StarTribune and was recognized by the Minnesota Timberwolves during Black History Month. Furthermore, Ms. Bengtsson was selected as an Empowered to Serve candidate by the Minnesota Chapter of the American Heart Association Go Red for Women.
A dedicated civic advocate, Ms. Bengtsson has been active with several community charities and events, such as Meals from the Heart, The Ordway, the American Swedish Institute, several boards at Concordia University, the East Side Arts Council and the Schubert Club. She currently serves as Commissioner on the Economic Development Agency for Lindstrom. Throughout the course of her career, she has attributed her professional success to her connections within the community, as well as the efforts of her former employers, from whom she learned many valuable lessons.
