Dr. Lenngren is a transportation executive currently aligned with AFRY Infrastructure in Västerås, Sweden, as a senior consultant. A Swedish-Finnish engineering, consulting, and design company, they serve various industries, including energy and information technology. He was previously a consultant on behalf of Sweco Civil in both Västerås and Stockholm, a European consultancy company that focuses on consulting engineering, environmental technology and architecture. Providing his expertise in the capacity of a consultant for various other companies since 1996, including the U.S. for the Minnesota Department of Transportation in Maplewood, Dr. Lenngren also held research positions with Road Survey Technology in Solna, Sweden, and the Swedish National Road Administration in Borlãnge. Additionally, Dr. Lenngren worked in education as a lecturer in the Department of Transportation at Harare, Zimbabwe, during 1994 and as an adjunct professor of pavement design at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 2001 to 2007. He also held a position at Lund University, from 2011 to 2014.
To prepare for his career, Dr. Lenngren received a Master of Science at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm in 1983. He then completed a Master of Science in civil engineering at the University of Washington in the United States in 1986 before returning to the Royal Institute of Technology, where he then obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in 1990.
Through his profession, Dr. Lenngren has maintained membership with several national and international industry-related organizations. He is notably a founding member of the International Society of Asphalt Pavements. He is also a member of the International Society of Concrete Pavements, the International Society of Optical Engineering and, among others, the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Dr. Lenngren was a Valle scholar in 1984 and a Wallenberg scholar in 1986. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been cited in over 25 editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, and Who's Who in the World.
