In 2008, Mr. Blakely returned to college, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Maryland, Baltimore three years later.
Drawing on his considerable expertise, Mr. Blakely serves as an attorney in private practice and as an appointed attorney for the District Court of Maryland. Through the course of his work, he focuses on family law matters, including divorces, child custody and support cases, and more. A licensed attorney in Maryland and Washington, D.C., Mr. Blakely has also gained valuable professional expertise in several other fields, working as an English teacher, a part-time writer for the sports section of the Washington Post and as a fraud technician for a phone company.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Blakely aligns himself with the Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, the Baltimore County Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Association. Alongside his work in the field, he provides his services in a pro bono capacity to low income individuals.
