SAINT LOUIS, MO, July 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Angela Qi Zeng has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Dr. Zeng is noted as a biochemist, pathologist, and wellness advocate who has dedicated her career to combining her scientific training with her background in Buddhist philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine. Born and raised in China, she earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Fudan University in 1995 and immigrated to the United States the following year to pursue her postgraduate education. After a predoctoral fellowship with the American Heart Association, she obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in pathology at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Zeng was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship in cell motility and signal pathways in cancer at Northwestern University in 2003, and completed her education at Washington University with a Master of Business Administration in marketing and strategy in 2005.
Early in her career, Dr. Zeng was active as a research fellow of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a manager of market research and business strategy for KV Pharmaceutical between 2005 and 2009. She worked with Viscadia Inc. as a management consultant between 2010 and 2014 while launching Hengtong Juice USA, which supplied juice ingredients to the major food & beverages companies in 2009. Dr. Zeng co-founded Fulfill Food & Beverages, through which she created Karuna Beverages, her latest innovation in clean, health-supportive juices.
Created based on the idea that "food is better medicine," Dr. Zeng hopes to promote better health and body awareness by producing products with ingredients that work toward promoting better health and encourage customers' awareness of the possibilities of integrative and holistic medicine. She has been interviewed in numerous media outlets, featured in an upcoming PBS-produced documentary about food and culture and invited to speak at World Refugee Day 2021. Likewise, Fulfill Food & Beverages has been the winner of dozens of taste tests and business awards.
When not working on creating healthy foods, Dr. Zeng volunteers with local organizations including the St. Louis University School of Medicine Women's Crisis Hotline and Bridge of Hope Ministries. Furthermore, she regularly donates products to underserved communities and healthcare workers. Dr. Zeng is currently working on creating an application that will help users make wiser food and beverage choices, and looks forward to expanding her mission to other ventures in the coming years.
