A native of Lebanon, Mr. Bachour emigrated to the U.S. as a college student in 1989. He obtained a Master of Science in Industrial Technology Management from Central Connecticut State University, followed by a Master of Science in computer and information science from the University of New Haven. From 1990 to 2000, he worked on hardware and software systems for labor and delivery. From 2000 until 2012, he flourished as a senior consultant, technical strategist and director in healthcare and life sciences at Microsoft Corporation. Two years later, Mr. Bachour found additional success as a manager, technical program management for Amazon, where he led several software development teams that were responsible for broadening the capabilities and increasing the global usage of Amazon Alexa.
Since 2021, Mr. Bachour has continued to thrive as a senior technical program manager for Axon Enterprise Inc., which develops electric weapons and technologies such as body cameras and cloud-based evidence management tools. He is currently focused on streamlining the integration of the Axon records management system with third party systems used in police agencies, including the National Crime Information Center system. Due to his Christian Greek orthodox upbringing, Mr. Bachour previously believed that he was destined to become a priest. However, his natural passions for electronics and engineering began to emerge while he attended college in Lebanon where he completed an Electrical Engineering degree. He even built his own desktop computer. In the near future, Mr. Bachour intends to share his expertise with fellow technology enthusiasts as an educator and mentor while furthering his success at Axon.
