CHICAGO, IL, August 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeffrey Michael Ammons Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Ammons has more than a decade of professional excellence to his credit, primarily as a document review attorney. In this capacity, he analyzes contracts and participates in the legal process of e-discovery. Mr. Ammons has worked with a variety of firms in the Chicago area, including McDermott Will & Emery LLP, Consilio, KLDiscovery, and Huron Consulting Group. Well regarded in his field, Mr. Ammons has taken on major cases for such clients as Bank of America and Volkswagen. He has also taken on a leadership role among his fellow document review attorneys by helping to manage a Facebook group for document review attorneys in the Chicago area.
Mr. Ammons obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2010. During law school, Mr. Ammons served as a law clerk in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office during the summer of 2009 and the winter of 2009-10. Also, he interned with a judge in Walworth County, Wisconsin, during the summer of 2008.
Prior to law school, Mr. Ammons pursued an education at Westminster College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with college honors in history, summa cum laude, in 2007.
Professionally, Mr. Ammons is most proud of his pro bono work. He has contributed his time and expertise as a volunteer attorney for Wills for Heroes, a program offering free wills and powers of attorneys for first responders. Additionally, Mr. Ammons has also volunteered with First Defense Legal Aid, which established a 24-hour hotline for persons in Chicago Police custody. Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Ammons has also supported organizations such as Cabrini Green Legal Aid and the National Lawyers Guild. Dedicated to making a positive impact through his pro bono work, Mr. Ammons entered his profession out of a deep and abiding desire to help others.
While in the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association, Mr. Ammons was a founding member of its public outreach committee. He remains active with the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Outside of law, Mr. Ammons is active in his church as a lector and member of the parish choir.
