MACON, GA, August 05, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Len Hindsman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After earning an associate degree in biology from Columbus College in 1964 and a Bachelor of Science in zoology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Georgia in 1966, Mr. Hindsman was invited to teach in his hometown. Although he did not intend to pursue a career in education, he became passionate about the field while serving as a teacher in an independent college prep high school in Georgia. In addition to his primary work in education, Mr. Hindsman fostered a love of construction that stemmed from his childhood.
Over the years, Mr. Hindsman excelled as the Director of Construction for Muscogee County School District and as an Assistant Superintendent of Operations of Bibb County School District. Driven to foster his educational knowledge, he returned to academia and obtained a Master's degree in Education, Administration and Supervision from Georgia State University in 1976. Backed by his professional excellence, Mr. Hindsman currently flourishes as the managing member of Leonard W. Hindsman, Jr LLC.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Hindsman was previously affiliated with the National Homebuilders Association and a General Contractor. Dedicated to the construction and education industries, as well as those less fortunate, he has dedicated his time and attention to various organizations, including the Georgia chapter of the Council of Education Facility Planners International, the Drug Abuse Control Organization and the Vineville Baptist Church. Likewise, Mr Hindsman founded the Alumni Association of Columbus College. (Columbus State University).
For his stellar body of work Mr. Hindsman has been honored among the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1971 and 1972. Accepting the Outstanding Young Educator Award for Muscogee County, he was nominated for Personalities of the South in 1972 and recognized as the Top Student at PIA Basic Insurance School, held at Oberlin College. Though his career has been filled with highlights, he was incredibly proud of delivering in excess of $300 million worth of construction for two school systems over an II-year period without any legal disputes or major overruns. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hindsman intends to experience the continued success of his career.
