DELAWARE, OH, August 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lonie D. Moore has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
In his youth, Mr. Moore always excelled in mathematics, which allowed him to do well in school despite being raised in poverty in undesirable conditions. Although he initially was not even considering enrolling in college, he earned a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics and German from Bowling Green State University, and went on to earn a master's degree in Statistics from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University.
Mr. Moore began his career working as an actuary, while operating part-time as an adjunct professor in advanced mathematics such as calculus and statistics. He also taught senior-level actuarial mathematics at Xavier University; a rare opportunity afforded to few adjunct professors. Recently, Mr. Moore spent several years as the AVP Sales & Distribution Analytics at Protective Life, and he currently flourishes as the Head of In-Plan Guaranteed Income Products at Nationwide Financial.
As an accomplished mathematics student, Mr. Moore was one of the highest PhD-qualifying exam scorers in the history of the graduate statistics program at West Virginia University, where he also became the first ever graduate student in the department of statistics to teach the calculus-based statistics for scientists and engineers course as an Instructor, and he also received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant award in his final year.
Mr. Moore has excelled not only in the field of mathematics but in several other academic disciplines as well. At Xavier University, Mr. Moore graduated rank #1 in his executive MBA class. While at Bowling Green State University he received the Outstanding Student in German award both as a freshman and as a senior. And at Highland High School in Sparta, Ohio, he was an accomplished student in musical performance, receiving the Arion Award as a senior.
Mr. Moore is an active board member for the Academic Year Abroad (AYA) Salzburg Alumni Group at Bowling Green State University, a veteran staff member of the American Model United Nations in Chicago, IL, and an active alumnus of the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. Throughout his career, he has attributed his professional success to mentorship that he received as well as an unsatiable curiosity, which has motivated him in all of his endeavors. Looking toward the future, Mr. Moore is working on his Retirement Income Certified Professional designation through American College and has plans to launch his own professional tutoring and education services company.
