A lifelong animal enthusiast, Ms. Parkins grew up caring for dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. In 2018, she earned a certification as a licensed pet sitter from Pet Sitters International. Ms. Parkins subsequently completed the required training to obtain a certification in canine and feline CPR and first aid from Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Along with her responsibilities at Golden Leash, Ms. Parkins works side by side with business partner Jessica Imhoff, the owner of Diamond in the Ruff, offering physical therapy and grooming services. Christina and her team offer a growing list of services all in the same facility. She attributes her success to her passion for establishing close relationships with her customers and their pets. When potential customers inquire about her services, she visits them at home to observe their pets' mannerisms and determine their individual needs. In the coming years, Ms. Parkins looks forward to acquiring further credentials and eventually establishing her own pet rescue facility.
