Boasting an extensive medical and entrepreneurial background, Mr. Quinn is notably a pharmacist and an employee of Suburban Pharmacy Long Term Care since 2009. He is the former owner of Manchester Drug & Surgical Supply, Inc. for more than two decades. He was also a consultant and distributor of Nikken International products between 1999 and 2013. Transitioning his pharmacy into a wholesale business by providing durable medical equipment and ostomy supplies to customers, Mr. Quinn's success has been predicated by his hard work. Often working 80 hours in any given week, he is constantly inspired by new and innovative ways to assist customers and patients, as well as his staff members, which he considers to be the backbone of his company.
Discovering the field of pharmaceuticals as a teenager, Mr. Quinn began working for a local Catholic hospital pharmacy as a runner at the age of 15. Responsible for getting the medications to the proper patient floor as orders came in from the doctors and nurses, it was a wonderful experience that made him realize the many possibilities that the industry offered. Mr. Quinn studied at the University of Connecticut, where he received a Bachelor of Science in the School of Pharmacy in 1966.
Devoted to his community, Mr. Quinn has greatly enjoyed contributing to various civic endeavors. One of his favorite pastimes includes volunteering for Rebuilding Manchester during its annual April event. Honored for his expertise, Mr. Quinn was recognized by Eli Lilly for filling one million prescriptions at his small neighborhood pharmacy. He also received Recognition Awards for serving on the boards of the American Cancer Society and the Visiting Nurses Association.
