Ms. Gouveia is renowned as a massage therapist with more than a decade of expertise in treating patients of all ages. A licensed massage therapist in the state of Washington, she initially pursued an education at Everest College. Passionate about providing comprehensive holistic care for all of her patients, Ms. Gouveia holds continuing education credentials in sports massage, Thai massage, cupping therapy, pre- and post-natal therapies and TMJ therapy.
Ms. Gouveia has been interested in massage therapy and complementary medicine from a young age. She considers her father, a retired Navy veteran and her grandfather, a WWII veteran, to be her inspiration, she remembers massaging his hands and shoulders when he refused to see doctors or take medication to treat chronic pain from old injuries. In her clinical practice, Ms. Gouveia strives to treat the whole patient, and to address underlying causes of pain and illness.
Since 2009, Ms. Gouveia has excelled as the owner of Sun Mesa Massage, where she continues to accept patients. Proud to have built her business to a degree where it is self-sustaining, she has been notably recognized as the Best Massage Therapist in Port Orchard annually since 2016. She currently focuses her practice on sports massage, including work with several players on the competitive pickleball circuit. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gouveia hopes to transition to teaching other massage professionals while expanding upon her work in sports therapy.
