Dr. Zhang and her team use proprietary algorithms to interpret customer DNA in order to determine a unique nutrition profile of the best foods based on genetic makeup. For her research efforts, she received the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Trainee Research Award and was named HealthTech Innovator of Wisconsin in 2017. She maintains professional affiliation with the Obesity Society, the American Society of Human Genetics, Milwaukee's 40 Under 40 Class, and Women of Influence, and is serving on the board of directors of Feeding America. She attributes her professional success to valuable mentors and professional networks, which have been instrumental in fostering her growth.
