After immigrating to the United States from the Philippines in 1973, Ms. Tamaño grew up in California and Missouri, and completed her academic studies at Saint Louis University and Webster University-Geneva, Switzerland. She began her career in the fields of business planning, marketing, design and fundraising in 1992. For more than 25 years, she has excelled as a fundraising campaign manager and a grant writer for the nonprofit community and had the honor of working for the United Nations for 5 years following peace & security, economic development, and human rights. Currently, she is a Management Consultant in the U.S.A. and the Advisor for Smart Child Kenya. Supported by her professional expertise, Ms. Tamaño excels today as the Principal Designer and Project Manager for Aure Designs, which provides art, design and marketing campaign services. Furthermore, she functions as a Small Business Tax Advisor and Management Consultant; in this role, she assists Small Businesses and Nonprofit groups with managing their organizations, developing strategic financial planning, tax planning and tax filing for her clients.
An expert in her field, Ms. Tamaño holds a Master's degree in International Relations and specialized in Development Economics from Webster University's Geneva Switzerland Campus, and received her B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration from Saint Louis University. Outside of her work, Ms. Tamaño volunteers throughout her community at United Nations Association, Art Space 349 in California, Johnson County Department of Aging and Human Services and is a member of Olathe Visual Artists in Kansas. She also contributes by donating the proceeds from her company by providing seed capital to small business and local U.S. and international charities.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Tamaño is most proud to have worked with Small Businesses and Nonprofit organizations in her community since 2002, and to have fostered a reputation as a successful Consultant in her field of work. She will be celebrating her 20 year anniversary next Spring 2022! Within the coming years, she intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career. Ultimately, Ms. Tamaño aims to expand the reach of her services within the U.S. and Developing countries such as Africa, Asia, Central America & Middle East.
