MILWAUKEE, WI, August 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Martina C. Gollin-Graves, MSW, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Since 2015, Ms. Gollin-Graves has flourished as the president and chief executive officer of Mental Health America (MHA) of Wisconsin. In addition to overseeing daily operations, she focuses on maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and increasing the accessibility of the aforementioned nonprofit organization's broad array of mental health programs and services. Ms. Gollin-Graves also serves as MHA of Wisconsin's liaison for their many statewide partners, such as the Wisconsin DHS Office of Children's Mental Health.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Alverno College in 2002, Ms. Gollin-Graves earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee three years later. She was subsequently recruited by MHA of Wisconsin, where she utilized her exceptional project management skills, as well as her natural talent for leadership, to advance to the role of vice president shortly before accepting her current position. In recognition of her success as a businesswoman, Ms. Gollin-Graves received the Woman of Influence Award from the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2020.
In a career suffused with highlights, Ms. Gollin-Graves is most proud to serve as the first woman of color to be appointed as chief executive officer throughout MHA of Wisconsin's 90-year history. She previously excelled as the chairperson of the Milwaukee Mental Health Taskforce for six years and continues to maintain active affiliations with the National Association of Social Workers and the Milwaukee Latino Health Coalition. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gollin-Graves intends to garner more support for mental health services in communities of color while creating more leadership opportunities for other women of color in her industry.
