In his youth growing up in North Providence, Rhode Island, Mr. Amoriggi decided that he wanted a career that allowed him to play an integral role in the improvement of his community. He pursued a career in law and established his practice, the Law Office of Kenneth J. Amoriggi, in 2010. Exactly one year later he moved his office to his hometown and has operated from there ever since. As an attorney, he practices in a variety of areas, but focuses primarily on family law, personal injury, disability and alternate dispute resolution. As the owner of his practice, Mr. Amoriggi is also responsible for delegating responsibilities for the staff, advising clients, drafting lawsuits and conducting negotiations.
In 2017, Mr. Amoriggi took the oath as the councilor for the Town of North Providence in Rhode Island. Later, in 2018, he notably founded the non-profit community organization, Marieville Neighborhood Partnership, for which he has flourished as the president. In both roles he is tasked with supporting those in need, organizing community cleanups, providing rental assistance and heating relief to citizens. He has also organized and completed various project, including working towards building playgrounds in the neighborhood.
Devoted to his civic duties, Mr. Amoriggi has been appointed as the chairman of his town's finance committee and the North Providence Tax Board of Review. Likewise, he served as the president of various fundraisers and a member of the board of directors for the Emanuel Baptist Church. He has further donated extensively and performed pro bono work for Red Line and The Humble B. Having always enjoyed baseball, Mr. Amoriggi also coached multiple Little League teams.
Mr. Amoriggi notably earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Rhode Island in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2009. A highly respected public figure, he has been presented with the Legal Pierre Award, the Pierre Super Lawyers Award and multiple clients' choice awards. Additionally, he has been the recipient of multiple grants. In the future, Mr. Amoriggi is considering stepping away from his private practice in order to prioritize his work in public service.
