After gaining valuable expertise with the Federal Government, in Savannah GA working with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Ms. Robinson in May of 1984 joined the Department of the Treasury's Internal Revenue Service as a group secretary and within four months was promoted to the Director's Staff as an Executive Secretary in the Taxpayer Service Division. Four years later, she was reassigned to a Tax Examiner position. Two years later, she was promoted to the Bankruptcy Specialists series and Acting Manager. Ms. Robinson was then trained to become a Certified Instructor Trainer specializing in all phases of Bankruptcy, where she put together a Chapter 13 outreach program on a nationwide scale. She was then asked by her Management Team to assist the Chapter 13 local Trustee in providing the information to the Debtors' each month at the University of Houston Central Campus for which she did for four years and Houston Community College for a year and a half.
Drawing on her considerable expertise, Ms. Robinson excels as a Senior Bankruptcy Specialists for the Internal Revenue Service, where she has been called upon to travel to various states and teach new and updated training material in order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the Bankruptcy Code. She loves working with the U.S. Attorney's Office; Department of Justice; the Bankruptcy Court Judges and she loves educating the taxpayers and their representatives on the Bankruptcy Code and procedures.
Ms. Robinson aligns herself with the Founder of Inspire Women, Anita Carmen, a ministry that believes in investing in Christian Women for missions and ministry encouraging them to find their spark and change the world. Ms. Robinson has also served as a guest speaker at various Women Conferences in Houston Texas; Honolulu Hawaii; Fort Stewart, GA; Mississippi; and Tacoma Washington. Ms. Robinson serves as a contributor on behalf of 40 Plus Models, an organization dedicated to helping high school seniors obtain scholarships to go to college and further their education. Ms. Robinson during her college years, served as an instructor with the Navigators (Christian Organization) on the campus of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).
As an expert in her field, Ms. Robinson holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business, degree, from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and an Associate's Degree from Houston Community College in Human Resources Management. Due to her vast breath of expertise in civil rights issues, in 2000 during the Senate Finance Committee Congressional Hearings, she was featured in the Washington Post and interviewed by 20/20. Most recently, she was interview by USA Today. While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Robinson is most proud to have remained dedicated to her job of 36 years and outstanding performance recognition. Ms. Robinson intends to go back to school after retirement this year, obtain another degree in Christian Education. Her goal is to continue co-laboring with Inspire Women Ministries in helping women reach their full potential in the purpose for which they were called to be a spark of encouragement.
