Driven by a passion for the arts and a love of nature, Ms. Lambeth serves as the owner of Lambeth Studios, with which she specializes in contemporary art through various mediums, including watercolor, oils, pastels, mixed media and stained glass. When not fostering her skills as an artist, she also works as a certified yoga instructor, at Midland YogaWorks, and volunteers with the Texas Master Naturalists program during her spare time.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Lambeth, born 1958 in Lubbock, Texas, was raised in Midland, Texas. She attended Midland Lee High School, where she lettered in Band and also received the AAUW Creative Writing Award for the LHS Class of 1976. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, with a Minor in Art, from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, in 1980. Over the years, she furthered her education with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona in 1990, and a Master of Art Education from Texas Tech University, Junction, Texas - located in the Texas hill country, in 2002.
Ms. Lambeth was married to Kelly E. Fish, January, 1983 and studied as well as worked under the name of Mary Lambeth Fish, until May, 1991. Under this name, she received an Award for Excellence in Drawing from Arizona State University School of Art's Commencement Ceremony in 1990 awarded by the faculty.
Ms. Lambeth is a former Adjunct Professor of Art Appreciation and Art History, for Lone Star College system, in the Houston, Texas area. A champion of those less fortunate, while in Houston, Ms. Lambeth devoted her attention and resources to various after-school and girl scout art workshops while working on her Masters degree.
Ms. Lambeth retains her signature memberships with the Texas Watercolor Society, The Montana Watercolor Society, and the American Plains Artists Society. She has Associate memberships with the American and National Watercolor Societies. She is past president, vice president, and treasurer of the Midland Arts association. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution through lineage with Daniel Boone. In light of her professional achievements, she was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year, by the Midland Arts Association in 2018. She has been awarded numerous national awards and ribbons for her artistic work.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Lambeth hopes to have her work featured in galleries across the United States, and overseas. She most recently has established a primary studio and gallery in Midland TX, at 2505 Storey Avenue. Currently, Ms. Lambeth is working on a watercolor series on Texas Native Wildflowers.
