After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Long Beach State University and a master's degree from Western Illinois University during the late 60's, Mr. Court began teaching high school and coaching football and track. Following this period, he served as a college educator for nearly three decades. Over the years, Mr. Court also gained valuable professional expertise as Administrative Assistant to Congressman Tom Railsback, City Council member, the owner of three small businesses, the Head Instructor for Defense Acquisition University and as the Deputy Director for Procurement at Defense Supply Center before retiring in recent years.
In his retirement, Mr. Court channels his considerable expertise into the eponymous Rick Court Education Corporation. As the president, he provides seminars and teaches management classes for the government and corporations. Before a new manager becomes a supervisor, they take his management class, through which he proposes a plethora of unexpected scenarios that must be resolved. Through his classes, Mr. Court teaches his students the intricacies of their management responsibilities.
Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Court aligns himself with the National Contract Management Association. Outside of his work, he has contributed to his community as the Director of the Special Olympics in St. Louis, youth soccer coach in Chester, VA and a loaned Executive for the Combined Federal Campaign. While his career has been suffused with highlights, he is most proud to have arranged contacts for the USA in Iraq and Saudi Arabia, teaching more than 10,000 students and working With Special Olympics.
