For more than 50 years, Ms. Gottlieb has found tremendous success as a visual artist and fine art photographer. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in painting and art history from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1968, she relocated to New York to pursue a career in the advertising industry. Throughout the following twelve years, Ms. Gottlieb thrived as an art director, designer and photographer for various magazines, fashion designers and movie studios.
From 1983 to the early 1990s, Ms. Gottlieb created art on a full-time basis while developing a specialty in hand painting on Cibachrome photographic prints. She started learning Photoshop 2.0 in 1990 and began to create her art with her photographs taken all over the world and then enhanced, painted and collaged with Photoshop.
Her work has been exhibited all over the world in many solo and group exhibits and appeared in several highly revered museums and galleries such as the Carnegie Art Museum in Oxnard, California, the Louis Stern Gallery in West Hollywood, CA, the Orange County Museum of Art, the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York City, The MAD Gallery in Milan, Italy, L'Image Gallery in Rome, Italy and the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio.

UCLA has showcased more than 150 of Ms. Gottlieb's pieces within five buildings for the past 10 years. More than 40 of her pieces have been on display throughout the University of California, Santa Barbara campus for the same length of time. Ms. Gottlieb attributes a great deal of her success to the extremely progressive elementary school she attended on the UCLA campus. When Ms. Gottlieb was in the fourth grade, her paintings were displayed on the walls of the school. The powerful sense of pride she felt at that moment inspired her to become an artist.
