While working in the medical records department of a healthcare facility, Mr. Mencel gained a wealth of knowledge of medical science and terminologies. He later obtained a Bachelor of Science in legal studies and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2006 with the intent of combining his medical acumen with his legal drive. While serving as law clerk with Dudley & Smith, Mr. Mencel earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Hamline University and began his career as an attorney for the Law Offices of Charles H. Johnson, with which he remained until 2017.
Mr. Mencel furthered his expertise, accruing a certificate in mediation from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and a certificate in dispute resolution from Hamline University's School of Law. Drawing upon his considerable knowledge and experiences, he currently excels as an attorney with McSweeney/Langevin. In this position, Mr. Mencel represents individuals that have been impacted and injured by pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, as well as other consumer products.
In order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the field, Mr. Mencel is affiliated with the American Association for Justice. Dedicated to those less fortunate, he contributes to his community through the local church. For his outstanding accomplishments, he has been recognized as a Minnesota Super Lawyer Rising Star annually since 2018. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of graduating college and enrolling in law school, being the first in his family to do so.
