Ms. Pingleton obtained a Bachelor of Science in health information administration from the University of Kansas in 2001. She gained initial experience as a law clerk with Butt, Thornton and Baehr, Attorneys-at-Law, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1998, and provided superior service as an intern with the University of New Mexico Hospital in 2001. In this capacity, Ms. Pingleton conducted quality assurance reviews and created a new hire orientation package, working with the director of health information management.
From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Pingleton found success as an underwriter with CNA Financial Corporation, a commercial insurer based in Chicago, where she handled benefits for commercial accounts, including long-term and short-term disability and quotes for new business and renewals. With the University of Kansas Hospital from 2004 to 2005, she further excelled as a risk management data specialist, and with clinical research organization PRA International from 2005 to 2016 as a senior country start-up specialist, through which her responsibilities included recommending and implementing enhancements to clinical systems to improve project start-up delivery.
With Chiltem, a clinical research organization in Overland Park, Ms. Pingleton made an impact as the manager of clinical operations, in which she was responsible for the selection, training, development and performance management for a team of clinical trial assistants (CTAs) and in-house clinical research assistants (IHCRAs). In addition, she supervised staff time management and salary reviews and promoted project-specific quality and performance standards for clinical trial administration.
From 2016 until the present, Ms. Pingleton has made an impact as the manager of clinical operations with Labcorp Drug Development, a leading global life sciences company, where she identifies, develops and implements measures to improve the efficiency of her department. In this role, she notifies upper management of problems in collaboration, and frequently communicates with the director of clinical operations. In addition, Ms. Pingleton promotes project-specific quality and performance standards for clinical trial administration and clinical monitoring, and ensures that they are adequately documented, communicated and understood by all members of her team.
Ms. Pingleton attributes her success to the colleagues with whom she has worked, as well as her innate talents as a problem solver. In a career suffused with highlights, she is most proud to have served as a line manager with Labcorp, as well as establishing initiatives intended to help her department grow. In the coming years, Ms. Pingleton hopes to advance to become an associate director and, eventually, the director of clinical operations, through which she aspires to serve as a mentor to younger employees.
