Rev. Podolski initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic in 1994. She later graduated with a Master of Science in reading and language arts and mathematics from the aforementioned university in 2001. Additionally, Rev. Podolski earned a doctorate in practical ministry of chaplaincy, a ministry on behalf of a church but outside a traditional church setting in places like hospitals, prisons and the military, from the Master's International University of Divinity in 2008.
The daughter of a coal miner, Rev. Podolski had a lifelong love of mathematics and entered college at the age of 36, intending to teach high school mathematics. Moreover, she has been active as a devout Christian, participating in ministry in nursing homes and senior living centers. Rev. Podolski eventually pursued a chaplaincy which would allow her to carry on her ministry in nontraditional settings.
Rev. Podolski has further flourished as a mathematics teacher with the Academy of the Holy Family in Baltic from 1994 to 2000 and the First Assembly Christian Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts from 2002 to 2003. Recruited as a part-time mathematics teacher with Eastconn, a nonprofit regional educational service center in Hampton, Connecticut, from 2001 to 2011, she further flourished as a mathematics educator with Windham Technical High School in Windham, Connecticut from 2004 to 2020. In the coming years, Rev. Podolski is hoping to move to Florida and volunteer as a tutor at a college near her daughter's residence.
