From 2014 to 2016, he found additional success as the president of Anderson Global Macro.
Mr. Paul obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English literature at Franklin and Marshall College in 1965. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Special Forces from 1965 to 1969. After completing his service, he was introduced to several people who encouraged him to pursue a career in financial services, as the industry was rewarding and fast-paced. Mr. Paul subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School in 1970.
Throughout his career, Mr. Paul has maintained his affiliation with the Foreign Policy and the Council on Foreign Relations. In addition, he participated on the boards of New York City's YMCA and the Henry Street Settlement. Within Credit Suisse, he held the post of chairman of the Americas Foundation and engaged in the Douglas Paul Scholarship Program. For his accomplishments, he is proud to have been presented with the Foreign Policy Association Medal during the organization's centennial year. Additionally, he was honored to have been a recipient of the Credit Suisse AEPPLI Prize for being the most outstanding individual in a staff of nearly 65,000 worldwide.
