Ms. Adams earned an Associate of Applied Science from Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville, followed by coursework in psychology with Mary Baldwin University in Staunton. Additionally, she obtained a certificate in The Science of Well-Being, a course designed to build more productive habits offered by Yale University, in 2020.
Ms. Adams gained initial experience as a pharmacy technician with Rite Aid in Richmond, Virginia, from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010, she provided superior service as a legal secretary in the office of attorney Reginald Yancey in Lynchburg, in which she composed and revised legal documents for attorneys, including letters, depositions and court filings. Likewise, she also ensured that legal documents were processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner, scheduled all travel arrangements for attorneys, and filed and archived all documents in compliance with state and federal documentation laws.
From 2012 to 2015, Ms. Adams prospered as a sales agent with the United Insurance Company of America in Lynchburg, following as a sales representative with State Farm from 2017 to 2018. Beginning in 2019, she has made an impact as a realtor with Keller Williams Realty, Inc., an international real estate franchise operating over 900 offices with more than 180,000 associates worldwide. She recently became an inside sales coordinator with the realty company in March 2021. With Keller Williams, Ms. Adams has achieved several milestones for sales that include Top Five for Sales in her region and Best Team Leader. Her areas of expertise include administrative writing and reporting skills, supply and office management, scheduling, finances and accounts payable, time and event management, interviewing, equipment management, travel logistics, sales and marketing, presentation and verbal communications, and knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
According to Ms. Adams, she has found working in real estate, and especially Keller Williams, satisfying because "they are family oriented and welcoming." She entered the field so her earnings would allow her husband to travel less, and they could see their family with greater frequency. Ms. Adams earned her real estate license with the support of her company in 2019.
Recently Ms. Adams has held several food drives in association with Keller Williams and recently won a competition for earning donations of over 100 pounds of food. In the coming years, Ms. Adams would like to do community outreach and initiate her own anti-bullying foundation that would include counseling, anti-suicide education and tutoring.
