AMERICAN CANYON, CA, September 09, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Henry G. Nutt III has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing inspiration from the example of his father, Mr. Nutt has excelled in the sheet metal industry for more than three decades. He received an associate's degree from Diablo Junior College and completed an apprenticeship program with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 104 Union. Mr. Nutt began his career as a sheet metal apprentice for Linford. Eventually he landed at Therma, a large mechanical contractor and was promoted to general foreman. Mr. Nutt continued his career as a general superintendent at Southland Industries, where he remains today after more than a decade until assuming his current role as a preconstruction executive.
In this position, Mr. Nutt initiates projects at the pre-construction stage, and utilizes his past experiences as a builder to identify opportunities that can bring value to the projects he is pursuing. He also interacts with clients, and develops customer relationships. In addition, Mr. Nutt has distinguished himself as a public speaker in the field.
Mr. Nutt currently serves on the Lean Construction Institute national board. One of his duties is leading a taskforce for trade partners that is designed to support a more effective and impactful adoption of lean practices at the project level. Civically, he also serves as Chair of the Associated General Contractors of America's National Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee, which is designed to provide D&I resources for AGC member companies. As a respected voice in his field, Mr. Nutt is in the process of publishing a book with the sole purpose of helping marginalized individuals create their own success with the construction industry.
For his efforts within the lean community and work with the Lean Construction Institute over the years, Mr. Nutt received the prestigious Pioneer Award. In order to remain aware of developments in the industry, as well as having a deep passion for all aspects of construction, he maintains his affiliation with AGC's National Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee and AGC's California DE&I Task Force, as well as the Lean Construction Institute National Board and local communities of practice.
In accounting for his standout success, Mr. Nutt credits his deep and abiding faith, as well as the love and support of his family and friends. Looking toward the future, he plans to develop more meaningful relationships and continue to generate additional revenue for Southland. Furthermore, Mr. Nutt hopes to continue excelling in his public speaking engagements, through which he hopes to not only motivate, but educate as well.
