He initially pursued an education at Boston State College, from which he obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in education in 1969 and 1971, respectively. In 1969, Mr. Marden began his career as a teacher in the Winchester Public Schools in Massachusetts.
After garnering two years of experience as a teacher, Mr. Marden accepted a position as an executive vice president at Trailer Train Inc. in Chicago. Soon thereafter, he was recruited as the eastern regional Distribution Manager for Beatrice Foods Company, a role in which he excelled from 1973 to 1981. Between 1981 and 1992, Mr. Marden further flourished with Combined Express in Philadelphia as a general manager, executive vice president, owner and president.
Since 1992, Mr. Marden has thrived as the president and chief executive officer of World Class Logistics. Aside from his primary vocational pursuits, he has participated on the board of directors for American Girls Baseball and the executive board for the Watertown Boys and Girls Club. He was additionally active as a member of the Newton Election Commission and a commissioner for National Touch Football League. The author of "Words To See You," Mr. Marden has been a member of the Associate Carriers of America, the National Council of Physical Distribution Managers, the National Consultant Services and the New England Transportation Club.
As a testament to his accomplishments, Mr. Marden has been presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Residing in Waltham, Massachusetts, he has raised two wonderful children with his loving wife, Sazi.
