CRYSTAL RIVER, FL, September 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ruth Edwards has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Edwards relocated to Florida from New Jersey in 2011 to take care of her aging parents. She had lived in New Jersey for over forty years and was very active in her community as an EMT/Paramedic and participated in many charitable organizations there. Because her time was spent looking after her mother and father, and considering their many health issues, Ms. Edwards found she could no long work in the field of emergency services. When her mother passed, and her father was physically stable and could be left on his own, she made the decision to obtain her real estate license. With the encouragement of a friend, who was a real estate broker, she took the exam and passed. January 5, 2015, was her first day as a Realtor® and she never looked back. Ms. Edwards excelled in the field through other real estate organizations before accepting a position with Coldwell Banker Next Generation Realty, where she remains to this day. As a Realtor®, Ms. Edwards liaises with both buyers and sellers, going above and beyond to ensure that her clients have a stress-free an experience regardless of their needs.
Ms. Edwards obtained an Associate's Degree in Retail Management and Merchandising from Middlesex County College in Edison, New Jersey. Driven to remain aware of ongoing changes in the field of real estate, she is affiliated with such organizations as the Realtors® Association of Citrus County, for which she served as President in 2019; the Florida Association of Realtors®; the National Association of Realtors®; the Women's Council of Realtors®; the Real Estate Business Institute; and the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors. Ms. Edwards takes great pride in her appointment to the National Association of Realtors® Leading Edge Advisory Board.
In conjunction with her work in real estate, Ms. Edwards dedicates her time and attention to the local chapter of Rotary International. For her professional achievements, she has been presented with the Top 500 Agents Award from Broker Agent Advisor in 2019 and 2020. Ms. Edwards has also been recognized by the Florida Realtors® Honor Society for the past five years.
Even though her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Edwards is incredibly proud of assisting first-time homebuyers fulfill the dream of home ownership. She recalls assisting buyers, who had a difficult time obtaining financing, and sticking with them through many months of ups and downs. Their financing was eventually approved and many tears were shed on the day of closing. Seeing these people move into their own home was one of the greatest feelings.
In the coming years, Ms. Edwards is looking to obtain her real estate broker's license in Florida and preparing to obtain her Texas real estate license. She and her husband, Kerry, are planning to relocate to Texas, so that Ms. Edwards can be closer to her family there.
