TWIN FALLS, ID, September 17, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lisa D. Buddecke has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Journalism/Public Relations from the University of Southern California, Ms. Buddecke began her career working at firms such as Berkhemer & Kline Public Relations, Ruder Finn & Rotman Public Relations, J. Walter Thompson Advertising and the California Special Olympics.
Several years later, Ms. Buddecke secured a marketing management position in a national insurance company. After giving an honest interview where she was open and frank about her lack of marketing qualifications, the vice president of the company brought her aboard anyway, assuring her that she could perform well at the role. She worked with the company for several years before her husband's job moved to Idaho. Looking for more flexibility in her career, she offered her marketing and public relations expertise to southern Idaho businesses on a consulting basis. She served as owner of Kelsar Communications for 19 years before she and her husband developed their current business, 2nd South Market.
Throughout her career, Ms. Buddecke is most proud of her work as a marketing consultant for the Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization. She developed a unique marketing campaign series that was later submitted to the International Economic Development Council, for which she was honored with the Excellence in Economic Development Gold Medal Award. As an accomplished professional, Ms. Buddecke also received the President's Award for Distinguished Service from the Idaho Economic Development Association, and was nominated as the Person of the Year by the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Buddecke serves on the Twin Falls Historic Preservation Commission board and formerly on the College of Southern Idaho Foundation board. Over the years, she has attributed her professional success to her practical education at the University of Southern California.
