With more than 24 years of expertise to her credit, Mrs. Remshik is a dedicated and passionate health care professional who has been aligned with the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta/Egleston Hospital throughout her career. Named to her newly appointed position as the manager of clinical operations in the pediatric intensive care unit in 2019 after one year as interim manager, her role comes after a successful tenure with the organization as a pediatric critical care nurse, clinical coordinator, clinical nurse educator and administrative resource nurse. Overseeing a staff of approximately 100 team members, Mrs. Remshik is greatly involved in daily operations of the unit and administrative aspects of the organization. Aside from her work as a health care provider, she has served as an alumni advisor in the school of nursing at her alma mater, Auburn University.
Civically, Ms. Remshik has played an important role with the Compassionate Friends. The nonprofit organization focuses on supporting parents who have lost a child. Professionally, Ms. Remshik maintains her membership with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
An alumnus of Auburn University, Ms. Remshik received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997. She later attended Western Governors University to further her education, completing a Master of Science in nursing leadership and management in 2019. Ms. Remshik holds several certifications in her field as well, including as a nurse manager, nursing professional development, and pediatric nurse.
Attributing her success to the influence of her team of co-workers and subordinates, Mrs. Remshik is also grateful for her current director, who has provided her with mentorship and ongoing support. Well regarded for her accomplishments, she was recognized with a gold-level Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Beacon Award for Excellence in 2018 and silver-level in 2021. Additionally, she was nominated for the Celebrating Nurses Award by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for 2020 to 2021 and as the Nurse of the Year by the March of Dimes for 2018.
