SCOTTSVILLE, KY, September 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew B. Stinson has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
From a very early age, Mr. Stinson's fascination with cars was evident. It was an interest that was shared by his father and an integral part of his upbringing. Much of his youth was spent in a garage working on building and repairing vehicles, on dirt roads pushing vehicles to their mechanical limit, or working out deals, trading for the next ride. It is Mr. Stinson's adventurous and hardworking nature that ultimately led him to the self-made entrepreneur that he is today.
Mr. Stinson began his career in public work, but determined early on that his drive and potential would be better served in establishing his own business. Over the course of the next several years, Mr. Stinson relied on his natural pioneering spirit and passion for exploration of the auto industry to engage in multiple start-up endeavors. This daring approach included auto parts sales, tire exchange, auto sales, freight, and real estate. With each business, he developed more of an understanding of where his passions truly lie. Mr. Stinson has never been content with the status quo; he is a risk-taker, a showman with just a dash of irreverence. Embracing his authentic self, he evolved his business into what is now Southern Kentucky Truck Sales, a local automotive company with international reach that specializes in locating and restoring nostalgic and collector cars, attracting pop culture and automotive enthusiasts alike. This evolution has allowed him to phase into more unique and curated builds, including several movie cars and cars that are sentimental to him from his youth. These builds include the General Lee, the Mystery Machine, Ecto, Elenor, Herbie, cars from The Fast and the Furious franchise, and The Andy Griffith Show. Mr. Stinson also specializes in custom builds that stem from his deep passion for automobiles and his experience with fabrication and design. His unique and unorthodox approach to his craft has garnered a large social media following on multiple platforms.
Southern Kentucky Truck Sales has also become an international exporter of these unique cars, including export to Dubai, the Netherlands, Japan, Germany, England, Mexico, and much of South America. Mr. Stinson continues his entrepreneurial spirit with investments in real estate and other commodities. He is married to his wife, Katie, and together they have three children, Tucker, Hadley, and Henry.
