After obtaining his law degree, Dr. Krooth began working for the Anti-Defamation League in New York and then as a constitutional law researcher and a community consultant at its southeast regional office in Atlanta. He has further flourished as a research director and editor-in-chief for Harvest Publishers in Berkeley since 1975. Dr. Krooth has also served as a coordinator for the Media's Effect on Children in Riverside from 1982 to 1983, an economic consultant for the Euro/Pacific Group in Berkeley and San Francisco in 1984 and a jury consultant for Jury Consulting Services in Santa Cruz, California in 1989.
Additionally, Dr. Krooth has made a huge impact in education at several prominent institutions in the areas of social sciences, including the California Institute of Management, Sonoma State University, Golden Gate University, Madison Area Technical College and Atlanta University. He has been additionally active in his efforts as a research director from 2001 to 2002 at the Berkeley Scholars Group. Dr. Krooth has likewise been appointed as a visiting scholar, professor and research director throughout the University of California system since 1981.

His 2017 book, "Darwin's Walk and the Last Wave: Disappearing Landscapes, Declining Species," is one of his most notable and artistic works. Other books to his credit include "Nuclear Tsunami: The Japanese Government and America's Role in the Fukushima Disaster" in 2015, "Blood River: Death on the 6th of July (A Film Presentation of 1892 Homestead Strike)" Harvest Publishers, 2010, and "Gaia and the Fate of Midas" in 2009. Dr. Krooth's book titled "Original Nation Approaches to Inter-National Law: The Quest for the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Nature in the Age of Anthropocene" was published this year by Palgrave Macmillan.
Civically, Dr. Krooth became involved with the Wisconsin Alliance as a research director from 1968 to 1972. Soon thereafter, he worked as the founder and director of the Law and Labor Research Group in Santa Barbara between 1978 and 1981. More recently, Dr. Krooth was recruited to the Harvest Publishers Ecological Research Group in 2008.
Dr. Krooth has earned a Bachelor of Science at DePaul University in 1958, a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Wisconsin in 1962 and a Doctor of Philosophy in sociology at the University of California Santa Barbara in 1981. He has been admitted to practice by the State Bar of Georgia. An associate member of the Smithsonian Institute, he has found success on the arbitration and commercial panel for the American Arbitration Association since 1983. Dr. Krooth is also a member of the DePaul Alumni Association and the University of California Alumni Association.
Dr. Krooth notably received a grant from the Louis M. Rabinowitz Foundation and a faculty senate grant from the University of California. For his contributions as a writer, he was presented with an Outstanding Book Award for Human Rights in North America from the Gustavus Myers Center in 1994. He was also honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the Nature Conservancy in 2020. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Krooth has been cited in the sixth edition of Who's Who in American Education and the 27th edition of Who's Who in the West.
