WINCHESTER, MA, September 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn D. Latanision has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing inspiration from her mother, who was an artist and art teacher, Ms. Latanision pursued a career as an artist. In 1965, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in art education from Kuztown University of Pennsylvania. Thereafter, she completed coursework at Ohio State University, the Art Institute of Boston, and Harvard University's Radcliff Institute for Advanced Study, and the Art Institute of Boston. Well qualified in her field, Ms. Latanision has also been certified in elementary education and teaching as well as art education.
Ms. Latanision has served as the owner of the Latanision Studio and Gallery since 1981. In this capacity, she teaches three classes per week to prospective students. During an earlier stage of her career, she garnered experience as a teacher for Columbus Public Schools and a recreation leader for the Recreation Department of Columbus, Ohio. In accounting for her success, Ms. Latanision credits her persistent nature and ability to persevere.
As a testament to her talents, Ms. Latanision received the Rothermel Award for Distinguished Professional Achievements from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, and Distinguished Alumna status from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA. She has been awarded both first and second place in the National Watercolor Society's International Exhibition. Her awards are numerous from other prominent art organizations. Along with having earned signature status in the following, she has also won awards of distinction from them, including Allied Artists of America, Rocky Mountain National Water Media Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Adirondacks Exhibition of American Art, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Copley Society of Boston, Kansas Watercolor Society, Hudson Valley Art Association, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and Northeast Watercolor Society.
Additionally, throughout her career, Ms. Latanision has served as a teacher at various art workshops and as a mentor for children interested in art. Growing up in Bethlehem, PA next to the Bethlehem Steel Corporation plant, she has been continually adding to her series of paintings of this giant in American history.
