After completing culinary arts coursework at Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, Mr. DeLuca began his career working for various restaurants and hotels across the United States. Advancing his business studies at Boston University and Bay State College. During much of Chef DeLuca's hospitality career, he worked in hotels, individual restaurants and Mobil four-star hotels. He also gained experience and refined his culinary skills as a sous chef at Jonah's Seafood Café. Over the years, Mr. DeLuca received valuable mentorship from renowned Executive Chefs such as Kurtis Jantz, Toby Joseph, David McMillian, Eric Howson, Hyatt Corporate Chef Janos Kiss, and Steve Jayson, who was the corporate chef vice president at Universal Studios for more than 20 years.
Later in his career, Mr. DeLuca relocated to Florida, where he showcased his talents at luxury hotels and resorts, including the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, St. Regis Hotel, and the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. In 2016, he founded a catering business and food truck, Chef K Provisions, which has accrued much success. Some of Chef K's clients include the U.S. Secret Service, Pembroke Pines Police and Fire Departments and other local law enforcement agencies as well as some local sports celebrities. Mr. DeLuca is also active as the Executive Chef at West Boca Medical Center over the past two years, working non-stop during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
As an accomplished professional, Mr. DeLuca has been honored with Second and Third Place Awards at the Boston Harbor Chowder Festival, which hosts 14,000 participants on an annual basis. He has also been recognized for his innovative menus, which have received many positive reviews from industry publications. In his community, Mr. DeLuca regularly donates to the local police and fire departments as well as the March of Dimes Foundation, Chris Spinazzola Foundation of Boston, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and other notable associations.
