Moreover, Dr. Krishnan garnered experience as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Rochester and the Pennsylvania State University.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Dr. Krishnan attended the University of Madras, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemistry. Following this accomplishment, he graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in 1973. An expert in his field, he has contributed over 50 articles to various professional journals, including Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism, Pharmacogenetics and Genomics, the Journal of Autoimmunity, Clinical Cancer Research, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, the Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, and the Journal of Antibiotics. To remain aware of developments in the field, he maintains his affiliation with the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and the American Association for Cancer Research and the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
In accounting for his success, Dr. Krishnan credits his propensity for hard work and perseverance. Among his career accomplishments, he is most proud to have been involved in pharmaceutical research at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was able to use MRI, PET/SPECT/CT, and optical imaging with small scanners for drug discovery.
