Prior to his success with DMA Economics, Dr. May thrived as the managing director of Berkeley Research Group LLC between 2013 and 2014 and as the principal-in-charge of valuation and litigation support at Grassi & Co. from 2012 to 2013. Likewise, he served as a valuation and damages expert and director at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP from 2010 to 2012, managing partner at Experts-on-Experts from 2007 to 2009, and senior consultant for NERA Economic Consulting from 2004 to 2006. A past president and chief executive officer of Peripheral Vision LLC, he notably served as managing director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and a senior vice president at Galt Corporation.
During the 1990s, Dr. May established his economic prowess while serving as an adjunct professor of finance at Loyola University Chicago and an assistant professor of management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who bestowed upon him a Teaching Award. He previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting and finance from Roosevelt University in 1985, and a Master of Business Administration in finance and econometrics in 1987 and a Doctor of Philosophy in economics, finance and statistics in 1993, both from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Throughout his remarkable career, Dr. May has contributed articles to numerous academic and professional journals, such as The Journal of Finance, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and Hedge Fund Law Review.
