OVERLAND PARK, KS, October 08, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew Freeman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Although several of his family members were involved in the trucking industry, law enforcement and the military, Mr. Freeman became compelled to pursue a career in transportation, culminating in his current role as the president and owner of DOT Training Solutions LLC, a consulting firm that provides U.S. Department of Transportation compliance training and other consulting services to the motor carrier industry. Among other services, DOT Training Solutions LLC provides nationwide training and consulting services to trucking companies and their staff to enable them to operate safely and to avoid compliance issues that endanger the public, take drivers off the road, and cut into companies' bottom lines.
Prior to starting his consulting firm Mr. Freeman served as a Special Agent and Hazardous Materials Specialist with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and later worked as a consultant for another firm. Prior to his work in the federal government, Mr. Freeman was a law enforcement manager with the Missouri Department of Transportation's Traffic and Highway Safety Division. He also served as a hazardous materials enforcement specialist and motor carrier investigator for the Missouri Department of Transportation's Motor Carrier Services Division. Mr. Freeman earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from William Woods University in 2004.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Freeman is incredibly proud of his work with the Missouri Department of Transportation. In addition to lowing their hazardous materials roadside inspections out-of-service rate of 28 percent in 2008, he collected data from approximately 4,000 roadside hazmat inspections. Through training and liaising with all hazmat companies in the state, he was able to reduce violations down to 3-5 percent by 2011.
