Ms. Allen-Webb is a program manager at the University of Utah School of Medicine in the division of public health, department of family and preventive medicine, in Salt Lake City. Hired for her position in 2011, she is responsible for coordinating the design, development and delivery of statewide initiatives and, among other duties, oversees the development of infrastructure by way of interventions that help members of the community. Ms. Allen-Webb also began serving as a program manager for the Utah Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) on campus in 2019, where she formerly served as a clinical coordinator from 2013 to 2016.
Prior to her current appointments, Ms. Allen-Webb was involved in numerous other roles at the university. Among them, she was a manager for the division of family medicine, a community liaison for the collaborative and engagement team at the Utah Center for Clinical and Translational Science, a study coordinator at the Center for Alzheimer's Care, Imaging, and Research and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and a patient advocate and financial counselor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology. Ms. Allen-Webb has served as a staff member since 2000.
An expert in clinical research, specifically surrounding community engagement research, Ms. Allen-Webb has worked tirelessly to meet the needs of academic and community members alike for more than two decades. Her tenure in the field also includes extensively training clinical care managers regarding informed consent, data collection, recruiting and other areas of the industry. Ms. Allen-Webb has contributed to numerous scholarly journal articles and has frequently spoken before several professional groups. Her most recent article was included in Family Practice in 2021, titled "Information Sharing Via Electronic Health Records in Team-Based Care: The Patient Perspective," which she co-authored.
Among a plethora of civic and nonprofit activities, Ms. Allen-Webb has been active with the Teddy Bear Dean Program through March of Dimes. Likewise, she has been a member of the Hispanic Health Task Force, and was a co-leader for Community Faces of Utah, where she garnered extensive knowledge working with the Hispanic community to break down barriers, gain better access for the underprivileged and promote other changes. Furthermore, Ms. Allen-Webb is presently active with the Utah Women's Health Coalition.
Noted for her accomplishments, Ms. Allen-Webb received a Certificate of Recognition for Improving Life Opportunities for Hispanics in Utah by Alliance Community Services in 2011. She also recently received an Excellence in Mission: Diversity and Inclusion Staff Award from the department of family and preventive medicine at the University of Utah in 2020.
