Driven by an interest in finance, Mr. Drennen earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Trinity College. During his undergraduate studies, he had the opportunity to serve as a law clerk for the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and as a summer analyst with Goldman Sachs. With Goldman, he was assigned to work on the mortgage security trading and sales desks. Additionally, Mr. Drennen became a squash professional at Chelsea Piers, where he coached several local high school squash teams and numerous U.S. juniors.
Subsequently, Mr. Drennen found success as a private tutor with Varsity Tutors and a summer associate with MHR Lewis, where he researched and drafted memorandums involving international tax treaties between the United States and several South American countries for the purposes of wealth structuring. More recently, Mr. Drennen graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence through Washington University in St. Louis and began working for Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, where he remains to this day.
