Mr. Duffy initially trained at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, IN, under the I.U.P.U.I. Medical Technology program in Indianapolis, IN. and holds certifications as an emergency medical technician as well as in advanced first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). He has served as a medical technologist for many years in the chemistry department at UofL Health - Jewish Hospital, the Kentucky Organ Donor Association, Carol County Memorial Hospital and Clark Regional Medical Center. In addition to occasionally delivering babies, Mr. Duffy's additional responsibilities include mass spectrometry and both hepatitis and HIV profiles.
After initially serving his community in Jeffersonville with the ambulance corps, Mr. Duffy soon found success as a CPR trainer and in first aid, and later obtained additional certifications. He is a proud member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, a professional association based in Chicago encompassing 130,000 pathologists and laboratory professionals and providing programs in education, certification and advocacy on behalf of patients, pathologists and lab professionals.
Mr. Duffy attributes his success to his wife's patience, as there were times that he had to be away from home for weeks or was called to work at any time of the day.
