After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University, Ms. Becknell began her career in planning and forecasting for General Dynamics in 1986. While working at GD, she earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of San Diego School of Business. She also worked as a software development project manager at Hybritech, Inc. before moving to Hewlett Packard Company in 1997. During her career at HP, she spent more than two decades working in procurement, supply chain and ultimately became an Executive within Global IT. She is currently a full-time leadership partner for Gartner. As a qualified professional, Ms. Becknell also holds an executive coaching certification from the Hudson Institute of Coaching.
Ms. Becknell has developed expertise in supply chain, IT, executive management and leadership and executive coaching. She has also excelled at coaching for nonprofit organizations by providing guidance to military members during transition to the private sector. In her current role, Ms. Becknell serves as a growth partner to sales, providing objective and experienced insight to prospective Gartner clients. She collaborates with sales teams on understanding clients' mission critical priorities and needs, optimizing clients' pre-sales journey, and demonstrating Gartner's Partner-led capabilities.
In addition to her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Becknell also serves as an executive coach for The Honor Foundation, and she was previously an active volunteer with Build a Miracle. To remain abreast of developments in her field, she maintains affiliation with Toastmasters International, the National Association of Professional Women, the Boise Chamber of Commerce and the Meridian Chamber of Commerce. She has attributed her professional success to her determination and her relationship building skills, which have allowed her to connect and motivate people to drive organizations to the next level.
Over the years, Ms. Becknell has been most proud of raising her three daughters to be strong leaders, compassionate citizens and stand on their own two feet. Looking toward the future, she plans to continue working with Gartner to help the future leaders of America. When she is prepared to retire, she would like to spend more time traveling with her husband and their daughters.
